Since December 1, 2009, the sales team of Hoffmann Mineral has been reinforced with the appointment of Ms Nicole Knör as area sales manager for Asia Pacific.

Ms Knör has a master’s degree in material science and is just about to finish her doctorate degree in mechanical engineering.

During her time at university and her five year stay as a research associate at the Institute of Composite Materials GmbH in Kaiserslautern, Germany, she also worked as a trainee and research associate at Bridgestone/Firestone Research, LLC, USA and at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology in Beijing, China, respectively.

During her time at the Institute of Composite Materials GmbH she was responsible for several research projects in the field of material science financed through governmental funds and industry. Main topics of her work had been nanoparticles reinforced thermoplastics with enhanced mechanical properties gained by economically designed extrusion processing.

Hoffmann Mineral is very happy to have her in its sales team and is looking forward to introducing Ms Nicole Knör during MECS 2010.
